The top row of the keyboard, also known as the QWERTY row, is the first row of keys that you see when you look at your keyboard. It is also the most important row to learn to type, as it contains the most frequently used letters in the English language.
Here are the top row keys and their corresponding fingers:
LEFT HAND | RIGHT HAND |
---|---|
Q: Pinky finger | Y: Index finger |
W: Ring finger | U: Middle finger |
E: Middle finger | I: Ring finger |
R: Index finger | O: Ring finger |
T: Index finger | P: Pinky finger |
Here are some tips for learning to type the top row keys:
- Start by practicing typing each key individually. Make sure that you are using the correct finger for each key.
- Once you are able to type each key individually, start practicing typing words that contain only top row keys.
- Once you are able to type words that contain only top row keys, start practicing typing words that contain a mix of top row and home row keys.
- Be patient and practice regularly. The more you practice, the faster and more accurate you will become at typing.
